United Nations Peacekeeping force Invades the Congo

The United Nations Peacekeeping force is attempting to defeat militias that have long plagued the Democratic Republic of Congo by launching the Forward Intervention Brigade. The mission is being led by top commander General Carlos Alberto dos Santos Cruz and is currently made up of 3,000 soldiers. This marks the first time the United Nations Peacekeeping units have shifted from offensive tactics to initiatory combat, as well as neutrality by supporting the current government.
