Scientists at Britain’s Reading University have published a study in Environmental Research Letters warning of a 30 percent reduction in tropical rainfall and “changes happening so quickly that there would be little time for people to adapt” if geoengineering aerosol programs are implemented. Despite the perceived ease and low financial cost of the weather altering programs the scientists claim that it would take a “massive amount” of aerosol particles to pursue efforts to fight global warming.
