The Internet phone chat company Skype is currently being investigated in Luxembourg by the data protection commissioner for possible law violations over the company’s involvement in the United State National Security Agency (NSA) spying program. If found guilty of violating the Western European nation’s laws the company could face criminal and administrative charges. According to the London Guardian’s investigation, once Microsoft bought Skype the NSA tripled its access to video calls.
