Kelly Thomas’ Murder by Police Trial continues

On Wednesday jurors heard audio recordings and testimony of a paramedic on the scene where two former police officers murdered homeless Fullerton, California resident Kelly Thomas. In 2011 Thomas, 37, died after receiving a beating from officers Jay Cicinelli and Manuel Ramos. The paramedic testified that he was ordered to attend to police officers who had “scratches” while Thomas was left handcuffed and unconscious. Video of the attack, showing Thomas hit with fists, baton, and the butt of a gun. The two officers have plead not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
