(News 92 FM) The body of man was under a sheet in the middle of Plainfield St.,for quite some time as police investigated the incident. It’s a short street connecting the Southwest Freeway with Bissonnet.
Houston police spokesperson Jodi Silva says the officer was in fear for his life being chased backwards before he fired on a suspect who was swinging at him.
“He was physically assaulting the guest at the Plainfield Inn and he was attempting to physically assault and did strike our officer more than once. “
It’s unclear if the suspect had a weapon. He was wearing baggy clothing and determination of what, if anything, is under that clothing will come later during the investigation… (Read more at source.)
