FBI Raids Homes in Houston and Michigan for Chemical Purchases

The Liberty Beat

By: Derrick Broze

On Saturday federal authorities in Texas and Michigan searched three residences after an order was placed for chemicals they say could be used to manufacture an undisclosed type of gas. Federal agents donned Hazmat gear while they raided two homes in the Houston area, one in Bryan, Texas and another in Michigan. The homes are all connected to Cecily E. Horton, and her husband, Andrew Schneck, members of Houston’s art community. Two controlled detonations took place Saturday of what the FBI deemed a “potentially volatile substance.” Neighbors have reported the house being under surveillance for some time. Documents in the case are sealed, and no arrests have been made but a family associate stated that the situation is connected to the couples son.
