Around 1.500 protesters gathered at Christiansborg Palace, Denmark to stand against a recently passed bill that critics claim limits the publics access to government documents. The new changes to the country’s Freedom of Information law sparked the largest online petition the country has seen, gathering 89,000 signatures. The change begins January 1st and will end access to documents passed between certain government authorities.
